Africatown Homeownership Education Day

The Africatown Redevelopment Corporation (ARC) will offer a FREE homeownership educational resource event to support individual and family needs on their homeownership journey. Discussions on how to qualify to purchase, rent and maintain newly constructed and revitalized historic homes in the Africatown Historic District (AHD) will be presented. The ARC currently has eight (08) new homes under construction with phased completions over the next two (02) to six (06) months. It has seven (07) historic home revitalization sites (inclusive of 10 historic structures) in progress with estimated completion times of six (06) to eight (08) months. These newly built and historically renovated homes will have a tremendous impact on both the in-fill housing stock and a supportive economic impact for the city, while creating an opportunity for generational wealth building through homeownership.
